One of the most used ways of transportations and tours that is preferred by mostly by younger group is Mountain Biking. So for those who find hiking a little too slow, motorbikes a little too fast, and horses a little too uncomfortable, mountain biking could be the way to go. With Mountain Biking you can enjoy the rocky, muddy and awfully steep roads for biking. Dominican trails are certainly exciting. There exist well trodden beautiful ., obscure and sometimes beautiful tracks which cut across private land and wind up into the mountains roads used by the adventure companies. One thing that is to be kept in mind by the biker is that in Dominican Republic the weather is mostly hot and one should take monitor hydration levels to ensure the enjoyment. In group tours or going with a travel company it is usually not a major problem because many guided tours will include a pick-up truck to drive you and your bike up any steep climbs. Mountain Biking is quite different than from actual riding as you can make it as easy or as difficult you may desire. In Dominican Republic a well known way to meet the locals is riding. On a two -hour trip in the hills around Jarabacoa, one can feel that it is riding through the heart and soul of this country. The mountain biker can see and enjoy farmers milking cows, kids playing baseball in fields, girls kissing boys, boys kissing girls and enough smiling faces that can be memorable for a lifetime. The good thing about mountain biking opposed to other, motorized forms of transport it is that you can take in the scenery at a reasonable pace without going too fast and stop when you see something interesting.
