Whale Watching Season in coast of the Dominican Republic
Each year from January to March, approximately 3,000 to 5,000 humpback whales visit the northern coast of the Dominican Republic, specifically the area known as La Plata Bank, Samana. During the winter months these interesting visitors come to mate and give birth in the warm North Atlantic waters. Several agencies throughout the island organize different boat trips to La Plata Bank during the whale watching season. Come enjoy the Travel and Adventures of Dominican Republic.
