Carnival in Dominican Republic is celebrated the entire month of February with each weekend having colorful parades with floats, events and team dance costume competitions. Carnival peaks on or near the 27th of February which is Dominican Day of Independence. If your vacation here is scheduled in the month of February, make sure you get out to the main activity areas and bring your camera.
