It’s sometimes a difficult stage for making decisions for new travellers. Choosing a travel package or arranging it all independently, it is completely up to you. Keep in mind weather is usually a factor,  since Dominican Republic is a tropical island  showers  sometimes pup up unexpectedly, the adventure could get cancelled or delayed.  It may be wise to confirm your $ is not lost because of factors beyond your control.

Some travellers enjoy a little more adventure than others and shy away from resorts to get the real local experience. If your stay here is in a Dominican Vacation Rental, hotel or guest house, independently arranging your adventure upon arrival could be the most rewarding.  Some travellers enjoy making adventure arrangements  on the fly according to their newly found schedule in this new exciting country.  Most adventures and excursions offer transportation to and from the adventure (within certain limits) .  Sometimes a bargain can be found with  this type of traveller.
